Austin received the best birthday present a 14 year old could receive…. He was blessed with the warmth of a fire and a good nights sleep in his now shouse…
We settled in at about 2am this morning….
Caroyln – Check out the color of the stove…. How funny is that – we were gifted a stove in my signature color…
My Gram (God Rest Her Soul) would be so proud of me…. My Gram kept her house at about 90 degrees and when we would go to visit we had to layer – we would end up in a tank top and shorts within the hour of arriving and you were still sweating… I managed to keep the tent toasty like that and by the looks of things we are going to be reducing down to tank tops and shorts this afternoon… He’s already down to his long underwear…
A big THANK YOU goes out the Ed and Janice from church who barely know us, but were kind and generous enough to allow us to borrow their wood stove for the winter until Glen gets a chance to build ours.
Austin spent his birthday evening building a fire engine rescue unit out of legos. His Mammy Trayer had sent that out for him as a gift for his 1st day of school back on September 7th and being that we did not have a good location to build such a thing without losing pieces we decided to save it as a special gift for our 1st night in the shouse. He was lovin it… Mammy Trayer you would have been proud a 214 piece set and he had it built in an hour…
Today he is busy playing with the new legos and getting ready to put his Advent calendar on the wall that Mammy Klinger sent… It will definitely be a Memory Making item for Austin – we have been doing the Advent calendar since he was little and he was so excited to have one of his own to share with his children some day…
Our move inside has taken a GREAT deal of stress off of Glen’s shoulders and it is good to see him relaxed. It has relieved my stresses with my electronic equipment having a safe place with no water and no dirt… We are taking in our home and the fire – those that know me well know that I am melting in front of this fire with the glow of the flame and the comforts of my new home and my Men… Coffee or tea in hand and we will be heading out to cut firewood….
God is AWESOME and SO SO incredibly good to us….
