Although Spring is much anticipated here in the Northern Idaho Wilderness, how can we deny the beauty of the wilderness around us?
We have many projects ahead of us this Spring so we are anxiously awaiting it’s arrival this year. We have had some really BEAUTIFUL days that have teased us greatly because the day following more snow fell. Two weeks ago it snowed the whole week straight – snowflakes larger than we have ever seen. At times they were as big as a base ball… The pictures just didn’t do the beautiful sight a justice, but these are all moments and memories that are being engrained in us.
Two weeks ago while Glen and his friend hiked into the local store to pick up our packages. Glen packed back out with 52 lbs on his back. It was a gorgeous day and was a day we were put back into training for our Spring adventures to come. Austin and I headed in the opposite direction to the post office. We all hiked roughly 10 miles that day. On our return hike from the Post Office Austin was packing roughly 25 lbs on the pack frame on his back and I had the rucksack jammed full packing 45.5 lbs on my back. We are all definitely ready for the next adventure..
